Philomel is a clothing label. Theatre is our first collection. We make garments longing for a time passed.

The garments in Theatre reborn ideas and images from an imagination of the past. If there is a consistent influence, it is the idea of life (and its desires) as a palpable cycle. Beautiful, inescapable.

Philomel’s vision is to make “well-meaning clothes” to live long enough to be part of another cycle.

We opt for procedures that work directly with artisans and the people who make the fabrics. Each garment is the work of more than Philomel. It is also the mountains and gentleness and the machines and brusqueness of each city.

Sometimes there is no distinction in the sex of our clothes; sometimes there is.
